As the curtains close on another unforgettable school year, we find ourselves swimming in a sea of emotions. Yes, it's that time again — the last day/week of school! This week without doubts has been filled with emotional goodbyes, sad and happy tears, and a hint of joy or sadness. As we approach the end of the academic year, it's a bittersweet moment for many of us. While our own academic journeys continue, we must bid a fond farewell to the graduating class of 2024 as they embark on new paths and lifestyles. Their departure leaves behind a void that will be keenly felt, as they take with them not just memories but also the unique contributions and camaraderie they brought to our school community. But besides this threshold of sadness and goodbyes, SUMMER BREAK IS FINALLY HERE!!

Can you believe how swiftly time has flown? Whisking us through a whirlwind of laughter, tears, study grinds in the school library, and countless "aha" moments. But nevertheless, these moments would not have gone by without our incredible teachers. They have brought the storms of education with unwavering dedication, turning every challenge into an opportunity for growth. From solving extreme trigonometry problems, to exploring the never-ending past of our history, they’ve been our guiding stars, but for this academic year, personally, my guiding stars were Ms. Deepshikha Dhawan and Ms. Divya Sharma. I don’t know, how I could hold myself together without these spectacular teachers. But where would the school be without us mavericks? We students have gone through twisted rollercoaster in the past fruitful year, with so many challenges and obstacles coming our way, we lead ourselves to our own paths. So, I just wanted to say to all of us PSG panthers, I am proud of you, and however you have grown to be a lifelong learner this year! Well… Scratch that of for now! Though all of this may be important, summer break is coming, and it is time to have the biggest blast this summer. You can spend your summer break however you like it, but here are few suggestions for you to utilize your time when you are soaking in the Indian heat, if you are not travelling.

  1. Arts and Crafts: DIY projects like making jewellery, tie-dye shirts, or decorating their room.
  2. Writing: Start a journal or a blog. Write short stories, poems, or even a novel.
  3. Online Courses: Explore subjects of interest on platforms like Khan Academy, Coursera, or Udemy. Learn a new language using apps like Duolingo.
  4. Cooking and Baking: Try new recipes and improve culinary skills. Host a family cooking night or bake-off.
  5. Sports: Practice a sport they enjoy, such as basketball, soccer, or tennis.
  6. Outdoor Exploration: Go for hikes or bike rides in nearby parks. Set up a tent in the backyard for a camping experience.
  7. Reading: Create a summer reading list and explore different genres. Join or start a virtual book club with friends.
  8. Gaming: Play educational or strategy games. Develop your own games using simple programming tools.
  9. Puzzles and Board Games: Solve jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, or Sudoku. Play board games with family or friends.

Above are some suggestions for how you might spend your summer break, but remember, these are not mandatory homework assignments. Repeating again it is completely your choice how you spend it, your summer, your time, your freedom! Furthermore, surely, we all will be missing our peers from school, so it is a good time to interact and meet with them once in a while to catch up and stay in touch.

But overall, I hope you all have a great and wonderful summer, with many adventures seeking your way to discover them. See you all next academic year! Good Luck ??
