"The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don't wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen to others, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope."
- Barack Obama
An integral part of the curriculum at Pathways is the Community Service Programme – which ensures that students are not alienated from the real world. Our students genuinely believe that getting involved in community service teaches them to be compassionate and understanding human beings.
The students are initiated as early as the primary years and engage in community service activities at least once a week. While the Primary School students are entrusted with issues such as water conservation, hygiene and care of the environment, the Middle and Secondary level students engage in tasks like teaching ancillary staff, working with community schools, imparting adult education and establishing and running Balwadis.
Pathways has adopted 7 village schools in the villages of Aklimpur, Haryahera, Raisheena, Baas, Teekli, Sakatpur and Aravali Retreat. The costs forfaculty salaries, student uniforms, books, sports equipment, mid day meals and other supplies are borne by Pathways. Pathways has also set up borewells for hygienic water supply and created toilets for girls in the schools’ premises. Regular Student exchanges between our students and the village students are encouraged through sports activities and cultural programmes.
