It is not the fluttering whisper
of a fragile butterfly
BECAUSE HOPE IS STRONG.

For if it was
so small and shy,
it would not be able to survive.
It would drown,
quivering in fear
when faced with any plight.
HOPE IS BOLD.

No,
hope is not a butterfly
If it is anything,
it is a fighter
that kicks open the door
and strides into the fire of fear
that threatens to consume.
HOPE IS FEARLESS.

When the world
puts salt on our aching wounds,
it is the healing hand that soothes.
HOPE IS LOVE.

Hope is an act of bravery
from the very depths of our souls.
HOPE IS SPIRIT.

We, the children of today
plant the seed of Hope in our hearts
envisioning a world
where there is always laughter
and pain is temporary,
where all live in glorious equality, harmony, and diversity
HOPE IS BEAUTY.

We, the children of today
hope to grow into
something like a sheltering tree
for all those lost and weary.
We, the children of today,
the blossoming buds of tomorrow,
promise to never let our fears control us.
BECAUSE HOPE IS STRONGER THAN FEAR.

HEAR! HEAR!

Hope is what makes us,
straighten our backs,
and raise our chins,
and swallow our fears,
and say,
‘Everything is going to be okay.”

BECAUSE HOPE IS STRONG.
