Celebrating progress, embracing growth, and inspiring futures—5th August 2024 marked the long-awaited Diploma and Career-Related Programme (DPCP) Celebration of Learning. As parents and students entered the glowing library, they were greeted by a lively montage highlighting the events of the academic session. It beautifully reflected our commitment to the previous session theme of hope and harmony and depicted how our vision and values have flourished throughout the year.

The air filled with exhilaration as we celebrated the unique learning journeys and resilience of the DPCP Class of 2024 and 2025. We began the ceremony with graceful lamp lighting, marking the start of this memorable day. Subsequently, Harasis Wadhwa of DPCP1 delivered a captivating guitar performance that was truly melodic.

Next, Captain Rohit Sen Bajaj, our esteemed school director, delivered a compelling speech. He mentioned how the students’ two-year journey was marked with both challenges and triumphs that fuelled their growth and gave them the will to learn. Further emphasising the power of envisioning one's future, he spoke on the vitality of character readiness and integrity in shaping who we become. It was stated that to recognise excellence, we would celebrate all who did not walk the extra mile but walked the second mile.

Additionally, Mrs. Sangeeta Krishnan Nag, our senior school principal, then offered inspiring words, underscoring how resilience was significant amid the whirlwind of milestones in the two years of the Diploma Program. To embody the current theme of human flourishing, she mentioned how keeping the spirit of learning alive was key. Following her address, Anya Gupta of DPCP1 graced us with a melodious rendition of 'Never Enough,' filling the room with harmony.

Afterwards, we celebrated the Class of 2024, DPCP2’s outgoing batch. Their remarkable achievements stood as a testament to their hard work and dedication. As each alumnus stepped onto the stage, they did so with a proud smile, bidding farewell to their time at school and embracing their well-deserved awards. It was a poignant, full-circle moment for them.

To ignite the spirit of community service and values, the three recipients of the IB Global Youth Action Fund from the current DPCP2 batch (Batch of 2025) took the stage to share their inspiring initiatives. Suhanna Saini spoke passionately about her project 'Check In,' tackling systemic inequalities faced by women in rural India. Samaaya Malik followed with 'Mushroomology,' a project that fosters change and empowerment through sustainable mushroom cultivation for rural women. Taran Kumar wrapped up with 'Jugalbandish,' an event designed to fund a much-needed music room for an under-resourced school, achieved through a dynamic competition featuring top school bands from Delhi NCR.

Further, the current DPCP2 batch (Class of 2025) was honoured with a range of awards celebrating their diverse achievements. Recognitions included academic and sports excellence, the spirit of Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) awards, the Pathways School Gurgaon (PSG) Ambassador Award, Citizenship Award, Work Ethic Award, and accolades for extra-curricular feats like competitions and research papers. As students beamed with their certificates, their pride was palpable, revealing a visible hunger for continued learning and inspiration.

Overall, the Celebration of Learning ceremony buzzed with inspiration, vividly showcasing the students' remarkable progress and igniting the Pathwaysian spirit. It was a profound reminder of the core values we should embrace—resilience, determination, and the joy of giving back. This event didn’t just celebrate achievements; it illuminated the essence of growth and the enduring power of learning, leaving us all with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper appreciation for the journey ahead.
